Observing the kaleidoscope of color changes that autumn brings to the upper midwest fills me with great joy each year.

arctangent > Not all maples turn yellow and red. This one is passing through a variegated phase with cream, pink, and purple, before reaching its final coloration. I'll have to go back to see what that is.
arctangent > Bumper crop. The high bush cranberries produced a prodigous crop of berries this year. I like the way the circles of confusion in the background mimic the shape of the berries and almost seem to hang in the air like bunches of light.
