Queen Anne's Lace, aka wild carrot (Daucus carota)
Native to Europe but wide spread, and even invasive, in much of northeastern North America.
There's a teensy green arthropod near the center of the large umbel, possibly a grasshopper.

I've divided my older DailyPhotos posts into smaller galleries, numbered from oldest (#1) to newest. Each is sorted each in descending order of upload, which is the same as order of posting date. As I accumulate posts, I'll keep adding new "old' galleries for as long as smugmug enables legacy users such as myself to link galleries to the DailyPhotos community.
