Pictures of scenes or landscapes in which evergreens figure prominently. Also shots of mixtures of evergreens that don't fit readily into any of the more specific galleries of this cyber arboretum. I've tried to select pictures that celebrate the wonderful variety of evergreens that add charm to our yards, gardens, and parks year-round.

Looking along one edge of the upper section of the Harper Conifer collection. Some kind of maple, with its keys still festooning its branches, dominates the foreground, upper left.

I believe that the thing that interested me when I chose to take this shot was the contrast between the bluish needles on some of the conifers (spruce?) in contrast to the darker greens of others.

As the Harper Collection illustrates, there can be interesting color variations among "evergreens". They aren't all green. There are almost an infinite number of greens to be seen among tree needles and leaves, too.

I was standing about halfway up the hill that provides a commanding view to the east of the conservatory and the conifer collection, looking back to the west. The evergreen near the center of the shot is the Weeping Nootka Cypress, more pictures of which can be seen in one of my Cyber Arboretum galleries.

I was standing very near the parking area atop Juniper Hill or Juniper Overlook. The bare-limbed trees in the distance, with a bench in front are the remarkable sassafras trees that I took so many pictures of during this autumn season.
