Fallen sycamore leaves among still growing vegetation, on a rainy Saturday in early November.

On the last day of November, roses were still blooming at the Toledo Botanical Garden. I can't ever remember that happening.

Crab apple trees loaded with fruit can be as beautiful in the fall and winter as they are in the spring, when they're in bloom.

They look so luscious, but it they're that good, why haven't the birds eaten them all already?
