Not too red; not too blue; just right. I had the idea of pairing these colors when I discovered how difficult it would be to choose the appropriate category for a number of my pictures if I gave them separate galleries, in particular for the flower pictures.
In selecting keywords for the gallery itself, I was struck by the very large number of words in the English language for various shades of purple, and the comparative paucity of words for shades of pink. I wonder why that is.
In some cases the pink is so intense and saturated you could argue for it being red. Unlike purple, which is a definable hue or range of hues, pink is merely a shade, a mix of red and white.
For now the gallery is sorted in reverse order of date taken. Newer items should, typically, appear at or near the front, but I have a huge backlog of photos to process, so there may be exceptions to this rule. The gallery is, at the time of its creation (April 2012) comprised entirely of pictures collected from other galleries. That may change in the future if I take pictures that belong here but nowhere else.
Good to the last (petal) drop.
Cherry blossom petals were everywhere on the ground for a hundred feet or more away from the actual tree (a Sargent cherry), and filled the air with each puff of breeze.
