Featuring feathers being 'filtered' through the bill of this trumpeter swan. It was taking a break from feeding on shelled corn that I had been tossing out into the shallow river water for swans and Canada geese to gorge on.

Nice shot. To answer your question about the Great Horned Owl at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin. This is the 8th consecutive year to nest in same location...10-feet above entrance where thousands of people walk under her nest every day. She sits on eggs 30-37 days and owlets will fledge in lat April. I am the Owl Docent at wildflower ctr.
