D133-2012 Perches for people and for passerines. Robins were feeding in the grass in the late afternoon in the gardens. American Robin (Turdus migratorius)...such an ugly binomial for a handsome bird. Does it really help to know that 'turdus' is merely Latin for thrush? I didn't think so.
