Yes!  This photo is right-side up.
And this wasn't the only feature in the ice on two roof-line to ground ornamental chains that had sharp features that pointed upward when you think they should point downwards.  My speculation is that they're remnants of ice that once clasped the chain and are now separated from it as the result of repeated thawing and freezing.

Ice along the river bank.  Though filled with bubbles, it was much more translucent that such ice often is.  Don't know what caused it to form in this jumbled contorted way.  I love the blue patches of reflected sky.

There's a hidden history to the 'rocky' contours of the ice at the margins of lake.  But I'm not skilled enough to decode it.  I just enjoy such ephemera for their delicate beauty.

The white cottony fuzz that surrounds needles on new growth on the saguaros is easily seen even from farily great distances.

Virtually every mature saguaro bears 'scars' of some environmental insults or attacks.  They're kind of the cactus equivalent of wrinkles, I guess.
