D105-2013 Some variety of speedwell, genus Veronica.
These aren't the smallest blossoms I've ever seen, but they're close to it. Each one is only a few mm across, but they're no less detailed than larger blooms despite their diminuitive size.

Some consider this plant a weed, a pest, but how could something so dainty be a pest?

D303-2010 Bugbane (tentative ID)
Trying for a soft colorful backdrop for this woodland wildflower (a form of bugbane). Incidentally, if you view this in a large enough size, you'll see ants crawling up and down the stem.

D149-2012 Dianthus armeria (Deptford Pink) - non-native
Family Caryophyllaceae . . . Native to Europe
This particular alien, once seen only in gardens in the USA, long ago escaped and became naturalized across much of the eastern part of the country. Refreshingly, this is a well-behaved, non-invasive species in North America.

D109-2012 Serviceberry in bloom down by the lake.
This shot has both a beetle and a fly (and probably some other critters I missed).
I was facing the lake when I took this view, and I think the white unfocused spots are from reflected sparkles on the lake, seen through a partial screen of foliage.

D110-2012 Rue-anemone
Anemonella thalictroides Family Ranunculaceae
This shot gives you everything from unopened buds to blooms that are already setting seeds.
The large deeply indented leaf in the lower left is from a wild geranium, and the upright tapered leaf (upper left) is possibly from a trout lily.
