This historic Spanish mission was established in 1691 by Father Kino at the supposed invitation from the local tribe of Tohono O'odham people. The existing Franciscan church dates to the late 18th century. It lies 50 miles south of Tucson, just off I19. Read more about it at its National Park Service website,
