Flying colors - ginkgo leaf wrangling
DP318-2013 Posted November 14; processed ditto
This past Monday we had rain all day, and as temperatures fell in the afternoon, the rain began to change to snow. Overnight many of the trees in the area dropped large portions of their remaining leaves, and on Tuesday the ground beneath those trees was carpeted with freshly fallen leaves atop the light snow cover. Since it was sunny, if cold (!!!), I went for an outing to Hidden Lake Gardens. The grounds keeping crew was busy 'rounding up' these fallen leaves. The sight was particularly striking around this large ginkgo tree.
