Face in the foam.

I didn't see the screaming, drowning 'man' until I processed the picture.  It seemed to have more impact rotated, but I didn't want to crop away most of the photo to keep the image rectangular, so I just left the white corners.  It's a kind of early Halloween image.

Bits of foam at the foot of a closed spillway head for the accumulation of scum, leaves, etc., herded by the wind.

Maize and blue - sort of.

In honor of the school colors of my Alma Mater, the University of Michigan.  Great mats of yellow-green algae (I suppose) have formed in the slow-flowing part of the Huron River that flows through Gallup Park.  So the blue of the reflected sky and the pseudo-maize of the algae.
