A Daddy Long-legs spider on a plank bridge over Fleming Creek. I like that you can see the delicate shadow of the spider in this shot. I've decided that it's an optical illusion of perspective that the front-most leg on the right side seems to bend downward so sharply, then curve upward so dramatically. Compare that leg with, for example, the second leg from the back on the left side of the spider. (As the photographer, I'm allowed to say that technically this is a crappy picture. I didn't have time to focus manually on the spider, since it was skittering away in protest to my hovering presence. Naturally autofocus chose the wood, not the spider as the main subject.
