Bright orange bracket or shelf fungus growing on a log of a sawn up tree. From the orientation of the 'brackets' relative to the log I deduce that the fungus grew there after the tree was felled and cut up into logs. From the appearance of the wood and the bark on the logs, my first guess would be oak, maybe hickory.
