Created 1984. Originally in laminated wood. As of 2012 the wood has been removed from the underlying steel frame except on the 'window'. Small Park with Arches 02 Artist: Alice Adams. Created 1984. Laminated wood. The south 'window', viewed from the south, i.e. from outside the 'Park'. You can see that even though the structure was restored in recent years after being heavily damaged during a storm it is once again showing signs of serious weathering. Maintaining this work in good condition is the responsibility of the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo (ACGT). Recently after extensive and lengthy evaluation of the problem they have judged maintaining the original concept of laminated wood over the underlying metal frame to be untenable. Eventually (sooner rather than later) some form of metal covering will replace the wood.
