D149-2012 Yellow Sweet Clover
Melilotus officinalis . . . Family Fabaceae (pea or legume family)
Native to Eurasia and introduced in other places worldwide. Considered an invasive pest in many locations in North America.
This is a poor close-up, but the best I could do on an extremely windy day. I'm sure I'll get better shots as summer progresses.

I'm still working on the ID for this one. It's low-growing with very small flower heads.

For some inscrutable reason, smugmug doesn't read the EXIF date on this image correctly, and sorts it to the front of the gallery when I sort on 'Date Taken' ascending.
D128-2012 Sawdust sprinkles on 'orange sherbet'. They do look good enough to eat, don't you think?

The pale specks of stuff on the flowers are sawdust or tiny wood chips from tree cutting and dismembering that was going on in the woods along the trail.
