Featuring a Flame Lily (aka Climbing Lily), Gloriosa superba

I think you can see from this shot where the common name, Flame Lily, came from.
The pistils on these flowers look so crazy. The style (long skinny part that connects the stigma to the ovary) makes a right turn and shoots the stigma out between a pair of stamens. (If you're still scratching your head, the stigma on this bloom is a three-pronged affair. It is bracketed in the shot by two yellow pollen bearing anthers.
