Although I love the usual yellow sunflowers, seeing a red one once in awhile is always fun. This shot does the their story.
Re: Michigan pics--One of the things I like about going exploring in a whole new place is the adventure of seeing what you find. As I'm interested in almost everything, altho it was officially a birding trip, I really enjoyed all the rest of what I saw. I'm glad you enjoyed the pics, and they weren't too ho-hum for a Michiganet!
Indeed it's an evolution that scratches so many needs. The red sunflowers are so beautiful. It's been a rare occasion that I've seen them, but I sure admire them. Thanks too for your comment today. Bill and I are most happy to just wander the roads less traveled and stop whenever and wherever something catches our eyes. Oftentimes, we ramble around with with a general destination in mind (like a National Park), but we don't stress over when we get there anymore that we are both retired. Sometimes, we don't book our hotel room for the night until we figure out where we might be and the nearest town at the end of the day. We have had to drive further occasionally to find decent accommodations.
