This shot fits my mood on a gloomy day, with thunderstorms in the offing. The same storm system that devastated the Great Plains and the Front Range of the Rockies yesterday will be passing through my area, but with rain instead of snow, and lower wind speeds. I might not have my computer on much until the madness passes.
The texture of the bark reminds me of the old Zep classic " Dazed and confused ". Almost looks like the tree could not make up its mind in which direction to grow !! Hope you will weather the storm with no problems !!
Beautiful textures. I hope the coming storm will leave no damage. Those winds came through here night before last and we had some minor damage at our home, but to the north of Dallas, there were several roofs blown off of commercial buildings. Stay safe my friend, and thank you for your comment today.
This looks like one of those really old willow trees with lots of gnarled trunk--good capture of it. Sorry about the coming storm--at least you've had some warning.
I thought the apple bottle would be a cheery, fun, addition to the day. I'm sure there's some trick involved in this bottle, but it's still a fun sight.
