Photographers at work - he was using a delayed shutter release
Photographers were everywhere on this day. More than I can ever remember seeing. No apparent reason.
Although gear alone doesn't necessarily mark one photographer as being more serious than another about her/his craft, this man clearly has gone to a great deal of expense, and effort, to wring every bit of clarity possible out of his shot. It was interesting that he opted for ambient light. I haven't a doubt in the world that he is in possession of the same level of flash equipment as his other gear.

I believe that there are more photographers almost everywhere. Those with real gear, and those with cell phone cameras. Of course the phone cameras are more numerous I've been a bit surprised at the people with good cameras. I'm happy for them of course. I'm with you - I'm a bit surprised too that he was utilizing the natural light. I was looking to see if there's a similar lens to my "go to" 24-120 that would provide better than f4. There's some new 70-200 or 70-300 that have f2 (ish). But I don't truly want one that long. I have the 70-300 that's f5.6. Oh well, it's not a matter of want anymore, it's a matter of need. :-)
It's fun to get "behind the scenes" on this one.
Yes I really want to get out there--was planning on it today, and yes, the sun is out--but one of my co-workers called in sick so I have to work today--wouldn't you know? I usually only work 2 days a week, but this week may be way more! Wildflowers, please wait for me!!!
