Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Day 14
Fact for the day
Because of the very large number of people who have developed breast cancer, reliable statistics can be developed on all sorts of aspects of its occurrence to guide researchers in possibly fruitful directions. However, some results are, so far, head scratching.
For example, breast cancer is more common in the left breast than the right. The left breast is 5 - 10% more likely to develop cancer than the right breast.
So far, no one has explained this oddity.
I chose a today’s photo of a patch of pasque flowers with its numerous blooms, each slightly different, to represent a statistical sample.
